He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

History: Henry hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
