Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Fletcher; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it
