History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Personality: Theodoric is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and many giants want him driven away

His hair is long and auburn with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small blue clips. His beard is blonde, braided, and well cared for. This blue eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Knight but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Miles grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Knight work with an outfit from a few towns over. Knight work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rolf was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Carter and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
