Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gifted student he started as a Weaver, but he got bored and became a Sailor. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of brigands once and for all.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. At a young age his mother died while driving off some brigands. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in rapier use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
