When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Roofer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. After coming to the age of reason, Bernard took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

History: He got into the Scribe business at a young age. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He struck the Scribe job and began his own company from there.
