Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hugh embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes giants are coming to abduct people. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Shepherd arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.
