He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Gerald was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Barber. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to end his boredom

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
