History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Adam was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Chad lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and doesn't want to be a fisher and was forced into it by his family

History: Born to a Bookbinder, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His parents were killed by goblins in a raid when he was still a young child. The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
