However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Born to a Miner, his mother struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Simon fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Tanner for the past few years.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.
