History: He comes from a rich eastern family. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. After months of barely getting by, Hugh managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Carter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Carter work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Carter soon after.
