Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Frederick was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Painter. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. Nicholas is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
