History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nicholas fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new butcher responsibilities is difficult

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Theodoric's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
