He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Chad was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and he wants revenge against goblins

History: Richard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor
