Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He dresses in blue turtlenecks beneath a black coat with tan slacks. His auburn hair is knotted and matted. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Gilbert is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Servant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
