Description: This tall, slender man wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty red coat over it. He has wavy brown hair. His eyes are likewise hazel.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Alex fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He uses divination through singing.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many dire rats want him driven away
