Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Thomas embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Thomas hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and balancing his hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: This man stands a little under 5'2" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He tends to wear a tan poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His eyes are likewise violet. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. The war was a terrible time for him, and Charles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Charles grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
