History: Born to a Knight, his father struggled to pay the bills. His childhood dream was to be a Knight, but he was a colossal failure. He tends to his Navigator job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
