History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Locksmith arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Roland lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Map Maker for hire.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His first spouse was a Sage, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. After a long history of fighting, Balimaar and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has all his life been fascinated with poetry.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with his Bookbinder father left him crippled. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Gerard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.
