History: Miles hails from a village terrorized by orcs. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears suspenders and blue workpants. His shirt is brown, and he wears a heavy blue leather apron most of the time. His black hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Hugh's homeland. Hugh decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hugh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his painting with anyone who is interested.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Roland's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Crown-heir arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Roland abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Description: He is a husky man, who is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured. His white hair is greasy and uncared for. His ears are large.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.
