Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Mason, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
