Roland Paxton, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He prefers to wear flannel. He has a long golden beard with little hanging trinkets. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his gray eyes.
Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Roland is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and money/treasure
Ideals: Justice. Flaws: Shy, Disease, Insomniac. Bonds: Attractive. Occupation: Fortune-teller
Voice: Speaks through clenched teeth

He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there.
