History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Dean abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. The war was a terrible time for him, and Adelard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Adelard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Peter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and expand his business

Description: This exceptionally lanky man wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His auburn hair is knotted and matted. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are hazel.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Shepherd they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Navigator, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

Description: This western man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears just a pastel suit. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His eyes are a pleasant amber.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.
