History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Heward and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He uses divination through singing.

History: Manfred was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Crown-heir hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature glaive.

History: Roland lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To unite with his brother.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Miles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Miles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
