Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Barber but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Rolf hails from a village terrorized by giants. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Rolf was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of giants

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Butcher profession.

History: Born to a Butcher, his father struggled to pay the bills. A gifted student he started as a Butcher, but he got bored and became a Detective. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Detective for the past few years.

History: Born to a Engraver, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son.
