It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Gerald hails from a village terrorized by orcs. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

His brown eyes peer out from beneath his small tan hat.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his music with anyone who is interested.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has achieved small success as a Roofer.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Heward was born the youngest of three triplets. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Stableman responsibilities is difficult; and retire the richest man in the north

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born in the south to a Detective, Jocelyn learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his necromantic talents. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
