Personality: Miles is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His first spouse was a Jeweler, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

History: The child of a Bowyer, who enjoyed hunting, Don was taken on many hunting expeditions. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 12 years.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Geoffrey was born with his father's beautiful face. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
