History: Bertram was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He became a Tanner soon after.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Heward is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Heward took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.
