Description: A stocky lighter skinned man, he is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing black cape and mantle trimmed with soft brown waves gently in the breeze. His silver hair is long and unkept. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Locksmith who has hired him part-time. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Dean was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he wants revenge against dire rats
