History: Trey hails from a village terrorized by drow. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
