History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Kody alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.
