Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Hubert hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: Norman was born with his father's beautiful face. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Guard and was forced into it by his family.

Description: He prefers to wear green pants and tee shirts. He carries a battered shortspear and tarnished dagger as well. His hair is chestnut and curly. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Peter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Aldous isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Aldous was born with his mother's beautiful face. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and expand his business
