History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Hubert was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Mayor. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Don's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Gerard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gifted student he started as a Dyer, but he got bored and became a Dilettante. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Dilettante and occasionally as a mercenary.
