Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Alex lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He struck the Ruler job and began his own company from there.
