Personality: He is fixated on the number 45. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: John was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: Manfred was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mortician work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mortician work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. After a long history of fighting, Manfred and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
