He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Gifted from a young age, Chad studied abroad. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Chad grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Chad. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
