History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When Shane reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gilbert grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gilbert. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
