When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When Gilbert reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
