Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. Roland is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Roland's homeland. Roland decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He got into the Shepherd business at a young age. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with singing. He constantly tries to fill his life with singing. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and to be a blacksmith again
