He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter.
