History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Shane has worked very hard to control his curse. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. A true patriot, Charles would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
