His thin eyebrows rest above his beady blue eyes.

Personality: Anselm hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Anselm was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Seamstress work with an outfit from a few towns over. Seamstress work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is content; and he feels threatened by others

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Shane and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To unite with his brother.

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He is dressed in a clean white cloak covering his clean studded leather. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Map Maker but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Map Maker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and revenge
