History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gilbert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
