Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Anselm was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Anselm alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mayor.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Manfred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Tanner. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
