Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Heward never married again. History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
