History: He got into the Cook business at a young age. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He tends to his Cook job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Scribe who has hired him part-time. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Alex was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Scribe hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Shoemaker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
