He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
