History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Ruler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Dean liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
