It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: This man loves dancing and to teach people dancing more than just about anything. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He struck the Dyer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He now owns his own business.

Description: The dark-skinned man stands 5'5" and wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. His hair is black and curly. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: His divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
