Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Ralf hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He wears a black vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His violet leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his black boots flare out at the collars. His hair is cut close to his head. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and many goblins want him driven away

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He got into the Mercenary business at a young age. A gifted student he started as a Ruler, but he got bored and became a Mercenary. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult
