Description: An older man who wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle, he is not a threatening figure. His blonde hair is cut short. His green eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Charles grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Charles. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Shane was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
